Attorney, Family Law Mediator

Legal Guidance, not Legal Gamesmanship

As a former divorce attorney, I saw first hand how a case could quickly spiral out of control and what started as a fairly amicable separation could devolve into all out warfare.  I quickly realized that in many cases, the attorneys were a part of the problem and not the solution.  The best way to be a successful divorce attorney was to stir up as much division as possible and then stoke that fire – a sure way to drive up legal fees, but in the end it left both sides devastated.  I soon lost the taste for contentious divorces and turned my practice to mediation.  Although some situations do call for attorneys, onerous amounts of discovery, experts and hearings, the majority need some simple, compassionate, emotionally intelligent legal guidance.  I truly believe that the “best” divorces are those that leave both parties strong, hopeful, and ready to move confidently into their next chapter.

Our Services

Legal Support Areas

We offer specialized mediation packages tailored to divorces that do or do not involve children. Our expertise extends to innovative mediation techniques, collaborative law practices, and creative settlement solutions. We focus on reducing conflict and ensuring positive outcomes for families.  Mediation not only saves time and money, it helps everyone involved move through this changing family landscape and into a bright new future.  Mediation is better for couples and better for children.  The only ones who don’t benefit from  mediation are the divorce lawyers!

Guardian Ad Litem

In disputed divorces, Courts often order a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) to help them determine what is in the best interest of the child.  As a certified and experienced GAL, we bring integrity and neutrality to your case.  Experienced in GAL interviewing techniques, report preparation, and providing testimony, we work hard to provide the Court the insightful information it needs to determine what is truly in your child's best interest.
